Filmpost is me, Omer. In 2004, after studying at the University of Udine (Italy) Media and Communication, my career began in the field of media and film production. I soon came to realise that my real interest and passion was in editing and post-production. This is where even the best-planned films take shape. Where in the attempt to tell stories, technical ability is not enough and the most unexpected things happen as if by magic. This alchemy of images, sounds, ideas, randomness and emotion, in other words film making.

With almost 20 years of experience I have edited every kind of media content for television and the internet.  This enabled me to reach the level of editing internationally renowned and award-winning television films (see IMDB). In 2014 I moved with my family from northern Italy to Graz in Austria. After a long tenure as editor, motion designer and post-production manager at the renowned ScienceVision Filmproduktions GmbH I made the decision to start my own company Filmpost. This allows me to pursue my passion of offering my services and working collaboratively with other professionals and fellow filmmakers in Austria and internationally.

I am a film editor proficient in Avid, Premiere, Final Cut, Resolve, and similar software. I also have strong skills in After Effects for compositing, chroma key, motion design, titling, and VFX. While I have also extensive experience with Maya (created various effects and animations for films), I have recently focused more on color correction using Resolve.

I offer comprehensive post-production services, including material management, editing, FX, titling, grading, and mastering. For complex projects, I handle specific parts of post-production. Thanks to advancements in technology, I can deliver high-quality post-production with a minimal environmental footprint. I work from a small, efficient space, managing all tasks without the need to switch studios or locations, and using eco-friendly energy from Styrian providers.

My life experience in many different places have enriched me as a person and also left me with a notable gift: I speak several languages. (German, which I'm still learning :), fluent English, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and Italian at native level, some Spanish and above all the universal language of images!
